DWYS Presents "We Gather" with Sheffield Cathedral

A special evening of live poetry, music and dance to celebrate Dig Where You Stand's summer Biennial 2024.

Performances were delivered by commissioned artists Otis Mensah, CJ Simon, Rosa Cisneros and Désirée Reynolds, who brought their archival stories to life in the most moving of ways. Support by BSL interpretation from Lauren Lister.

It was an ethereal and righteous evening that centred the stories of ordinary Black and brown people. We were proud to have provided a moment to dwell on the spirits of those who may have no plaques or plinths to commemorate them, but nevertheless were here one time, living their lives, and therefore remain important.
